Partly it's his animated style, partly it's his accent and tone, partly it's his knowledge. Awesome combination.

Hopefully I'll get to see him in person. He's right down the road from me in La Jolla.John Evohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10868904051881865159noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30971820.post-30867286437549401132007-08-16T10:49:00.000+08:002007-08-16T10:49:00.000+08:00Yes, Prof. Ramachandran is the expert on phantom l...Yes, Prof. Ramachandran is the expert on phantom limb phenomena.

He came to Singapore in 2001, and I went to his talk where he described his mirror box technique to help "amputate" the phantom limb of a patient.

He also has an animated and humorous style of presentation - great stuff! The Key Questionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05426898630563791849noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30971820.post-64629866353933877902007-08-16T03:26:00.000+08:002007-08-16T03:26:00.000+08:00If anyone is interested in reading more about phan...If anyone is interested in reading more about phantom limbs, the guy you need to look into is VS Ramachandran. Known in the science world as "Rama", this is his line. He has a terrific book from about 10 years ago entitled, "Phantoms of the Brain" and there are a number of great talks he gives that you can find video of on the net.John Evohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10868904051881865159noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30971820.post-6841524335078185732007-08-15T11:31:00.000+08:002007-08-15T11:31:00.000+08:00Ah, I'm honoured to be part of your cancer researc...Ah, I'm honoured to be part of your cancer research blog carnival! A blog carnival is an event where a community of bloggers come together to explore a common subject of interest. Not only does it create a tool to exchange ideas, but it is a good way to exchange links and increase readership. The rules are simple, write a post about any aspect of cancer research, for example where you see your field contributing to cancer treatment in the future, and submit a link to your story to the comment section of this post (http://bayblab.blogspot.com/2007/08/cancer-research-blog-carnival.html) by August 24th. Also, please copy and paste this message to the comment sections of as many relevant blogs as you can. Let the fun begin!Anonymous Cowardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13315733940344340689noreply@blogger.com
